Good afternoon all,
We are looking at creating some AD accounts for a couple of external users (so they don’t use any of our other systems, have a Domain connected computer, or access to our VPN). We want to give these users access purely to a single SharePoint site, however we want to maintain the password policy for these users (90 day expiry etc). If one of these users password expires (or even if they want to change it in advance), is there a way they can do this without calling our helpdesk?
Normal domain users that are offsite can use Outlook Web Access to change their password. However if a solution lives inside of SharePoint behind authentication, then the user wont be able to load that page.
Environment is SharePoint 2013 On-premise
Regards
Neil
Within SharePoint you would not be able to control the authentication mechanism. One thing you can do is to build a custom solution to provide the change password feature to external user.
