Under the GDPR you have the “right to be forgotten”. If you have a guest how can you cleanly remove them? There are “Conversations”, Apps they’ve interacted with and also a shadow account in Azure AD. Do their conversation’s get removed when you remove the user from Azure AD?
I guess some information you have legitimate reasons to keep, but some of it could be personal one to one Chats.
This article gives a brief idea on whats the status with GDPR & the ‘right to be forgotten’ in the context of O365. With platforms like O365, its not only the service providers(MS in this case) but also the individual organisation’s responsibility to understand their data and regulations & respond back.
