I would like to use ClaySys AppForms for creating workflows and forms in sharepoint 2013. Looking for advice and recommendations.
There are also quite a few tools listed in our ‘Infopath Replacements‘ Category
Hi, Steve.
The choice of Forms and Workflow tools for SharePoint will largely depend on what is your plan on who will create/manage these assets.
I’d say there are three categories available from Microsoft and its 3rd party vendors:
- Business users – Visio, Nintex, etc.
- Intermediate – SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, PowerApps+Flow (SP Online), K2, ClaySys, etc.
- Developers (advanced) – .NET, etc.
Claysys App Forms is a nice tool in the way it achieves the form creation & workflow management. There are also other tools in the market like formotus, flowforma and more. Also did you check the power apps for automating your forms? Powerapps + MS Flow is what microsoft is positioning as the next gen forms + workflow automation platform.
Best way is to subscribe for free trial to all these tools and evaluate on your own. Ease of use is the prime feature you may need to look at as all these tools comes with most of the required form creation & automation features.
