We are looking for an Intranet template that gives us mobile, news, content aggregation from the Department sites amongst other stuff!
If you built your own, can you let me know how you went about it?
Alternatively, if you bought one in, how long did it take, were your users happy and was it a success?
This is a very tricky question to answer as ‘it depends’ on many things such as what exactly do you need it for? Anyway, our sister site over at the Collab365.Directory has a list of the best SharePoint Intranet Templates.
Have a look through there and let us know how you get on.
as Mark just mentioned, there is not a single correct answer for this question. Your choice of a template is really depending on what you need from the intranet and how your users’ personas might dictate a particular user experience. The above templates will give you the common functionalities most organizations use an intranet platform for which can be only 40-60% of the picture.
you might take a step back and think why you are building an intranet and whether a single web platform is the answer for you.
It really depends on how fancy you want the design to be. In most cases, you can spin up a team site, build those features you want, then create your own template.
Hi Shaun,
I think it totally depends upon your requirement which type of features you want. You have mentioned earlier mobile, news, content aggregation across all department sites. I think you can get more features like responsive, content management, communication, collaboration and much more through ready to use intranet 365Appz. I think this corporate intranet example will help you a lot. It will satisfy your requirements. It will help to stay happy your users successfully.
