I just SSL-enabled my two SharePoint 2013 web applications (the main site and the My Site). I didn’t want to configure each application with a separate IP address to accommodate the default IP:443 SSL binding, so I decided to extend the My Sites application, using a different port.

It seemed to be working fine and so I removed the original My Sites application (the one using http). Now I’m getting a 403 error when I navigate to https://my.site.xxx.com:port#.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for how to figure this out? It’s not a production site, so I can just go back and recreate the My Sites and User Provisioning service, but I’d really, really prefer not to have to do that.

Thanks!
