Hey All,
Does anyone know of a way to automatically generate recurring emails? I’m trying to set files to be automatically sent on Friday mornings at 8 am to their respective recipients. Is this possible in SharePoint?
I’m new to this program and I can’t find documentation on setting this up. Is this something that I’d have to set up through Outlook or with some other program?

You can build the workflow to include a link to the documents you are distributing but you can’t embed the document into the emails using native SharePoint tools. The recipients will need access to the files wherever they reside.
That’s not quite what I’m trying to do. I’m hoping to use SharePoint to automatically distribute the most recent excel file for a project to the project manager, per project. These managers are not allowed access to our intranet so they cannot access our SharePoint site.
Is there a way to automate distribution?
It is possible to set up a recurring email reminder, Jeremy. Here is a blog by Jennifer Ann Mason that shows you how to do this using the Loop feature of SP2013 Workflow:
