HI Team
I have installed and configured Office web apps and SharePoint 2013 server separate machines.
From the SharePoint 2013 server,
When I try to open a word document from the browser, it throws an error saying “Sorry Word web app ran into the problem in viewing the document…..” This occurs only for word document(doc, docx..) whereas I can able to open all other files(excel, ppt, pdf).
From the client browser(outside the server)
When I try to open a a file, it display error message as “Internet explorer cannot display the web page”.. It does not open for any file.
How to resolve this issue such that I can able to open word document in Server and open all the files from outside the server(client browser).
When I look into the log file, I found an exception saying “Access to the Path ‘WacServerFarmSettings’ is denied.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Siva
There might be an error due to some unexpected file corruption, or something else like virus attack and improper application running or use. whatsover be the reason you should try suitable tool i.e. windows scanner to detect and resolve this issues. Although, while searching on the internet i found this link that tell me how to remove virus or spyware or PC infections easily. i think you should also try at http://www.photonzap.com/remove-trojanwin32vundo-lp-completely-from-windows-pc, for the best and effective removal solution!!
Hi,
Check if the word files are not the 2003 format “doc”. this is not supported in some cases. Download the document and see if you can see it on the client machine. Also try to repair and convert the documents to latest format.
Verify as Andrew say if this can be the permission issue for the word format.
This error happens is because maybe you miss some related files, which could be caused your mistake performance or by any viruses. Any Trojan or malware can delete your system files at their will. The virus could be Adchoices which is pretty stubborn. http://www.pccaretips.com/blog/how-to-get-rid-of-adchoices-ads-completely.html
Siva, have you made sure you followed this document for setting up Office Web Apps? https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff431687.aspx Specifically the pieces about OAuth if you’re on HTTP.
Also, did you check out the SPWopiBinding settings for doc/docx?
