When I access sharepoint services 3.0 via remote web workplace, the url for my document does not open the document. The url being used is file://servername/path_to_file.ext . When I’m logged into the domain, the link works fine.
If I attach a document, I can open the document via remote web workplace. The url for this is https://site:port/sharepointsite/list/listname/document.ext. It would be nice to have a link to a document on a share that would allow users to access that document without me having to copy documents up to the sharepoint site. As long as the shared document is up to date, users will always access current information.
Any ideas????
