I asked this question a few years ago and Twitter + blogs were the predominant responses, but wondering if this has changed? There are a lot more “Shows” and Podcasts nowadays, so are they starting to become serious ways to learn the latest and greatest? I am also friends with quite a few SharePoint people on Facebook and am using that more and more as a way to keep my ear to the ground.
So …. can you list your top 3 ways to keep up with the latest news about SharePoint and Office 365?
Twitter is my number one source. I will have a twitter app follow a #SharePoint
Good to learn. Thanks for the information, Matthew.Â
For me, it is:
- Yammer (Office 365 Technical Network)
- This site!
- Office 365 Developer Podcast (First episode)
- Office365 Developer Patterns and Practices (GitHub)
Hi Kate,
Sorry for the delayed response. I think the Feedly Pro version allows you to copy items with one-click and integrate Feedly with Zapier or IFTTT for automation. I believe there is some new “super search” feature coming out soon or is in preview now also. I mostly paid the $5 a month as a way of saying thank you to them since Google Reader was terminated and I want Feedly to stay in business. If all you want is a simple reader you might be fine with the basic version. If you want to use Feedly as a part of many different resources to keep up to date on things and want to integrate these things, then you might want to upgrade.
I hope this helps.
Matthew
Hi Matthew, thanks for recommending Feedly. I went their web page and saw Feedly pro. What’s the different between basic service and pro? Is that worth to upgrade?
