Hi

I have built a test vm with  Qindows 2012 R2, SharePoint 2013 SP1 , April CU on SQLServer 2014 to represent the env of a client.  Ok, since I need to build a few apps.  I thought I would give it a test drive

  1. added my account to administrators and farm admin
  2. added the dbo role on my account for my Developer apps site  devapps.mydomain.com content db,  config db and app management db
  3. Added my account as site collection administrator the Developer site collection
  4. ‘Successfully’ deployed the ‘HelloWorldApp’ via Visual Studio 2013 Update 3 <F5>
  5. All good and then the browser opens up with a 404 error
  6. I can ping app-257566cc5b622b.appsdev.mydomain.com and get my test server local ip address
  7. Open up my host  SharePoint manager and there is my app web ( see attachment)
  8. I will keep digging but anyone see this before and fixed it.
