Whats the procedure for creating a second public facing website in Office365/SharePoint Online?
I am concerned that going through the Public Website Plan Wizard will automatically overwrite the current website that is pointing to a custom domain.
Any assistance on this is appreciated and I can provide more information if necessary.
I have my standard domain site (www.danny.com) and a subdomain site (www.test.danny.com). The only problem you should run into is configuring the CNAME record at your domain registrar (or longest process)
Hi Deny, have you ever tried to create 2nd public website. Even if you create another domain or subdomain it is still a challenge to redirect it to another place. Do you have any experience on that?
Creation of subsites in public website is still forbidden. I think the best approach is to buy new O365 subscription and use different domain there. But I’m still looking for any alternatives.
You can try creating a sub domain in Office365 and using a CNAME record in your DNS. I am not sure if this will solve your problem though depending on the version of Office365 you may have.
Hi Trevor
I’m sorry if there’s a misunderstanding. The situation is that there is already a SharePoint Online public facing website and I don’t want to overwrite it.
Is there a way to create a second one without affecting the first one?
I have found a few relevant links below but I can’t find a proper procedure:
