I am currently trying to get as much information as I can with regards to Active Directory synchronisation between on-premise AD / Office 365 to a multi-tenanted AD that will be hosted within Azure or Fpweb.net. (The reason for multi-tenant is purely down to cost). Specifically, I was wondering if it’s possible synchronise multiple AD’s to a single Azure AD – can this support multi-tenants / customers?
Why do I need to know this?
DocRead for SharePoint (our policy management solution) currently allows you to send out “Reading Tasks” to groups of users. As users leave and enter groups we create or remove the reading requirement. To make the processing very efficient and to scale to massive user bases we sync the groups / users to our SQL DB. So … we have a need to emulate this on Office 365 / Azure…
