We are currently using SharePoint 2013 and all of our workflows run in the 2010 mode even though we have the 2013 Workflow Service set up. For whatever reason sometimes workflows fail to trigger at all. Doesn’t matter if they are set for on create, on change or include a pause in them. I have recreated workflows from scratch. I have checked that they aren’t running as a system account. There is literally no discernible pattern. I can run them manually no problem but that is not a viable solution as we have about 40 workflows throughout the site collection that I’d have to keep tabs on. The logs have not had anything useful on this issue as well. Any and all thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
