SP2010

I am reviewing a SharePoint 2010 Farm with Fast and Office Web Apps and the first thing everyone does is take a look at the build major and minor version ((get-SPFarm).BuildVersion).  Now if I see it is 2011 level. so ideally it should be patched.  Well the next question is, which version will give the most benefits with the minimum amount of risk? I don’t want to be the one that breaks my client’s farm ;-(

I would have thought SP2 since this adds support for IE10 – ironically the fancy landing page renders perfectly in IE 10.

Now it was March CU but I think this has been subsumed by SP1 ( 2nd release)
