I’m using SharePoint 2013 Retention policy. In document library there is option ‘Transfer to another location’ option, can i specify path of document library present in different Site Collection?
You can setup custom ‘Send-To’ destinations to allow this action to send to that location. These are set in Central Admin. This is also possible with O365 now because we have access to custom send to locations within the admin panel. Keep in mind the send to connection must point to a content organizer. To enable this you must enable the content organizer site feature in the destination web. This will create a ‘Drop off library’ and a couple new management links within site settings. From these settings you can setup rules for how you want to ‘route’ documents that land in the drop off library. For example: IF CONTENT TYPE = POLICY > Move to “Policies” library.
