We are considering the option to have our customers sign off on SharePoint (2013) List Forms via tablet. Does anyone have any advice and/or suggested products that will allow us to do this? I have researched a few but would like recommendations if possible. Thanks!
Hi Melissa,
I’m glad to inform you that we’ve implemented a new feature in our Forms Designer allowing to capture a signature or any other hand-written note and save it into a field:

I see that the post was created a long time ago but I hope my answer will help other people who are looking for the solution.
Hey Melissa,
Sorry I didn’t see this thread earlier. If you are still in need of a touch screen signature solution for your technicians, please check out Formotus. Your scenario is one of the most common among our customers.

Our customers don’t sign into SharePoint. Our technicians do. They perform maintenance while signed into SharePoint, using a SharePoint list as a check off. When they are done, while still signed into SharePoint, the technicians take the tablet to the customer for approval. The technician hands the tablet to the customer and the customer signs off on the list item. There are no documents involved. After the customer signs the list item on the tablet, they hand it back to the technician to save and close.
How do they sign-in to SharePoint – do you have Forms Based Auth running?
Also what kind of sign-off do you want? What is the purpose of it? Do you want to simply send docs and for them to acknowledge them?
Thanks for the feedback. I think I’m not explaining myself well. We don’t have our customers in AD, so we cannot use a cert form them.
We have access to a tablet in the field for them to sign on, so we do not have digital signatures, images, or graphics saved for us to retrieve them.
They are customers. The are not on our network. Some of them are one-time customers and we will never see them again. We are not interested in just having them type their name in a field as a signature.
Maybe this type of service does not exist, but I know that when I provide a signature at a merchant for a purchase I sign, physically, on a touch screen, and they may never see me again.
I appreciate everyone’s input, but I have a hard time believing that there is not a service/product/solution for what we need.
