It’s been at least 6 months since we told each other what we are doing with SharePoint, so I thought it’d be kinda nice to get an update! Can you spend a moment to share what you are doing with SharePoint ?
Think about :
- Version of SharePoint
- Hardware / Platform
- Type of Site (Collaboration, Internet facing, doc management etc)
- Company (if you are allowed)
- Industry
- Number of users
- Location
- Is it going well 😉
Iam doing a so called “Prakitkum” which is common in Germany, you do it besides your General Stuff which could be College, Spare Time etc… its mainly about getting into Things, or get in Touch with Subjects, so i went for a Consulting Company which searched a Praktikant for their Sharepoint 2010 Environment,
But its tough, iam like a one Man Show, who should do Everything what comes in their Minds 🙁
iam used to C# and Visual Studio but Sharepoint a is a new World for me…..
if anyone could tell me what i have to do when i:
– want to Display Data from Site A in Site B
-how to query those Data, like i want only the ones starts with “a” or the last 5 which were recently changed from user “xyz” …you know what i mean
my tools are…well… SP 2010 and Sharepoint Designer 2010 …i know these are very Basic Questions, but it would really save my Day, if anyone give me some Hints.
Hi Mark,
I’m glad you asked. We’re working hard here on releasing a new SP task management app (Tasks In A Box). Although lists in SP have great power, task management can be a hassle so we’re trying to improve this. Currently testing with a selection of users and the feedback is very positive for now, but everything can always be better right? We should be in the app store soon.
Good luck with DocRead and DocSurvey!
I’m currently working on multiple open source projects, from sprouter.codeplex.com, to was.codeplex.com and pas.codeplex.com. And a few things in between. These are all targeted at 2010 and/or 2013.
