I was wondering what solutions / apps people have used for SharePoint on the mobile ? The world is going crazy with “Bring Your Own Device”, so I imagine this has been a particular pain point…
Notices a couple of mobile apps out there, used them ? Any recommendations ?
We use Contact Sync for SharePoint app to sync our shared contacts from SP to our sales people’s cellphones. It’s quite convenient and important to have access to the contact information on the road.
I have seen people using Mobile Entree and Infragistics Mobile Business Platform product to enhance the SP 2010 mobile experience.
IM new here, and its an old discussion, but I thought I would share. I work for a school district, and there isnt money around for stuff like this. I found with multiple schools, and our SharePoint setup where each school has its own site, to access calendars and lists, documents, photos, FilamenteLite works perfect for us. Its free for looking, where the full version is good for editing. Our teachers want to be able to access the school calendar, events and posts so this gives them access. The best feature I found above other apps is the favorites. With such a large SharePoint site, this gives them a shortcut to what they want to see.
Im looking at building our own internal app, but im not that good yet. Need to figure out the SPConnect.
SharePlus seems very popular and we are using in our BYOD solution.

PS I like SharePlus and Colligo Briefcase for general purpose SharePoint because we can use their “Open In” functionality to open submitted InfoPath forms.
