Create tiles that link to office 365 user birthdays

Hi,

I need to create a birthdays and anniversaries app for Sharepoint online.

1. The app should be a tile on the home page
2. Ideally on hover over that tile, it should show upcoming birthdays with names. This data will come from the online sharepoint user directory.

I also need to create an employee directory app for Sharepoint online.

1. The app should be a tile on the home page
2. Ideally on hover over that tile, it should show employee directory. This data will come from the online sharepoint user directory.

There are many apps in the store that do the above, but they are not in the form of tiles, but directly show data in a web part, which is not what I want.

Any ideas, suggestions will be welcome. Thanks in advance
