Hi,
I have a SharePoint online site collection that has the following setting:
Sharing outside your company
Allow sharing with all external users, and by using anonymous access links
When I select to share a folder in the document library, I select anyone and also select Edit. I copy the link and send it to an email address (gmail) and when the user clicks on it, they get an access denied error.
What would be causing this and how can I resolve the issue?
Thanks
Sandy
Please check this Link . This will could help you.
I have created a share on the folder and selected ‘Anyone’ and allowed edit access. When I copy this link and send it to the external user, they always get access denied. I thought that if I had the setting above for my site collection and then shared the folder with ‘Anyone’ access that anybody who had that link could view/edit the contents of that folder.
I want to supply the link to one email address but then have anyone access that folder who gets the link.
Thanks
You should share the folder to the email id by explicitly mentioning the external user. Did you try that?
