When to use a Customer Connector in Power Automate (or Power Apps)?
You might want to interact, retrieve or place data into a service that you use. If it’s an online service, there’s a good chance the developers who set this up will have provided what’s called an API interface for you to use.
This is just a structured and transparent way to communicate back and forth to achieve the action you are looking for.
In this short video, I demonstrate some of the basic tools you can use to connect to a service called Holaspirit. Holaspirit is an online product management and collaboration tool that you may find helpful if you choose delivery using Agile techniques and practices.
In this example, we know Microsoft 365 does not have an out-of-the-box way to connect to Holaspirit (like it does with other services such as Vimeo or Bing), however, that does not need to stop you.
Here, we’ll see how easy it is to create a Custom Connector for you to use in Power Automate and Power Apps to connect with another online service.
The best part is that it’s all done with no code! Zero. None. Just copy and paste and do a little bit of research on using APIs so you are aware of what is taking place.
