I am about to make an architectural recommendation, and I would like to get the community’s feedback. We would like to have an application to pull some tasks from multiple LOB applications, then prioritize, assign/reassign as SharePoint/Outlook tasks and monitor them. Client also would like to be able to port the application to the cloud in the future. I am thinking to propose SharePoint 2013 platform with provider-hosted model app developed with.NET interacting with SharePoint using OAuth2 through RESTful API. I know there are a lot of other factors when making this type of decision; however, those are negligible at this moment. Regarding what is stated above, what do you think about the architectural platform and based on your experience are there any things we should be paying more attention?
