I can’t give you a 100% official answer since Microsoft didn’t confirm it however:
1. On the Microsoft Certification Planner about MCSD SharePoint, there is an exam called 70-493. (see screenshot here: http://www.absolute-sharepoint.com/2013/01/mcpd-sharepoint-2010-to-mcsd-sharepoint.html) . However, I got news from J. Seymour, Content Publishing Manager.. that that exam doesn’t really exist:
” The 70-493 exam doesn’t exist. There is an upgrade path for the windows MCSA if you are an MCITP but not for the dev side as we don’t have a formal “core” that everything sits on.”
The only thing that is 100% sure at the moment: you will need exam 70-480!
