Just a quick discussion to see whether you are intending to study and sit for one of the Microsoft SharePoint 2013 exams ?
If so, when and how are you intending to learn ?
I am considering it & will likely take the 331 & 332 exams. Â If the stars align, ideally I would like to get the MCSE.Â
You’re welcome! I have been following the 2013 exams close (maybe a bit too close?) :P. Â
I am really glad you learned something! If there is anything else you need help with, don’t hesitate to post! We got lots of SharePoint gurus out here, and someone is going to be able to help you for sure!
Vlad, thanks so much for the detailed information. I didn’t expect to get the reply so quick and detailed!
I think I might just start planning the 2013 cert then. It’s a good learning experience anyways.
There is lots of good stuff in your whitepaper that are new to me which I think would be very helpful not only for SharePoint but also good for general db tunning. Keep up the great work!
Thanks again.
Furthermore, the idea that there is no upgrade might be further proved by this change from the part of Microsoft.
Before:Â
Q.I have an MCPD on Visual Studio 2010. How can I upgrade to an MCSD certification?
A.
If you have achieved an MCPD: Windows Developer 4 certification, MCPD: Web Developer 4 certification, or MCPD: SharePoint Developer 2010 certification, you will be able to earn an MCSD certification on the corresponding solution by passing two exams.
Now:
Q.I’m pursuing an MCPD on Visual Studio 2010 certification. Should I finish it, or should I wait for the new certifications?
A.
Achieving an MCPD on Visual Studio 2010 certification enables you to take advantage of a shorter path to upgrade your certification to the new MCSD certifications. Additionally, you can demonstrate your skills on both versions of the product.
The question changed a bit, however they don’t promise “two exams” anymore!Â
