Just a quick discussion to see whether you are intending to study and sit for one of the Microsoft SharePoint 2013 exams ?
If so, when and how are you intending to learn ?
Hi Perry,
I can’t give you a 100% official answer since Microsoft didn’t confirm it however:
1. On the Microsoft Certification Planner about MCSD SharePoint, there is an exam called 70-493.  (see screenshot here: http://www.absolute-sharepoint.com/2013/01/mcpd-sharepoint-2010-to-mcsd-sharepoint.html) .  However, I got news from J. Seymour, Content Publishing Manager.. that that exam doesn’t really exist:Â
” The 70-493 exam doesn’t exist. There is an upgrade path for the windows MCSA if you are an MCITP but not for the dev side as we don’t have a formal “core” that everything sits on.”
The only thing that is 100% sure at the moment: you will need exam 70-480!Â
I am glad you liked the WhitePaper :)!
Hi Perry
Thanks for dropping by and contributing! I will leave Vlad to answer your exam question. He is our resident exam addict!Â
Just found this great SharePoint site and clicking around. It’s awesome! Lots to read.
I am holding a MCPD 2010 and planning to get the 2013 cert. Is there any upgrade path for it or I have to go through both the 488 and 489?
BTW, thanks Vlad for the great article “Maximizing SQL 2012 Performance for SharePoint 2013 Whitepaper” that brought me here.
Just did the 70-489 this morning.
Again a lot to read in scenarios. A lot managed metadata, CSOM/JSOM etc.
Not sure if I made it. Will be close.Â
