I am currently experiencing issues logging into the Front End Server of our Two Tiered Farm deployment of SPF2013.
Front End Server Experience:
When logged into our SP front end server (as the domain account associated to the System Account), I am constantly being asked to log in to the site. I enter the domain account details for the primary administrator of the farm and I am not able to authenticate myself onto the site. Other domain accounts (test user accounts) are also not able to authenticate onto the site. Oddly authentication works on DOMAIN computers or other servers (such as DC’s)  that we have in the company. As a result the browser does not download the custom CSS styling that is within the Style Library.
End User (Domain) experience:
An authenticated user on our Domain is able to log in automatically to the SP site using AD details, and the intranet URL is also added to zone 1 in the Zone Assignment List (intranet zone). They are also able to see the CSS styling as they are authenticated on the site. The end users are as a result are not prompted to sign in as the Group Policy controls the mentioned elements.
Can anyone help identify why I cannot log into the Front End Server, as any account for that matter?
Resolved in community chat.
Basically there is a loopback issue:Â https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/896861
Not to be disabled on a Production Server (not recommended). Thanks to Brittany 🙂Â
