Cannot populate the Comments column without opening the form

I have a sharepoint view that is showing all the forms at one place. I need to add a section for comments that will display the comments for that particular form. I have populated the field but it is displaying the results only if I open and close the form once. I need to get it populated for all the forms in the view without opening them.
