Do you think implementing a SharePoint / Cloud “Hybrid” is just plain hassle? Are the cost savings for having part of your infrastructure in the Cloud and part on-premise really worth it? Why not one go for all Cloud or just stay with the traditional on-site data center? What are the main drivers for “hybrid”, especially when it comes to SharePoint 😉
Being that cloud is managed service(s), I think this is best approach for multi location clients. This is especially true where Upgrade or Migration can be done seamlessly by the service provider.
