In 2013 the Note board is deprecated. It has actually disappeared from a lot of O365 tenants and its use is discouraged in 2013.
However the new replacement is a site feed and doesn’t appear to let you leave comments on individual pages. What’s the score here – is that not possible now in 2013?
Are there any 3rd party replacements anyone has used? This is on-premise at the moment with a view to move to the cloud in the future.
Too bad there seems to be no alternative yet. We did a test with commentBox but you will need a additional license.Â

This will become a big problem for several SharePoint Online customers. I really hope MS comes with a solid alternative soon, like a Yammer App that does work.
