Dear SharePoint experts,

I would like to ask on how or what is the best way to create a user login page.

Here’s the case:

I have created & separate several users from our AD group. Several users are enlisted locally, inside server.

Our SharePoint site doesn’t have a domain, but we’re just using our public IP and set our SharePoint address to our firewall, so when our outside clients would like to visit the site, they’ll just use the IP Address that we provide them.

So the format for logging into our site would be: Username: [<servername>\username] ; Password: [Password that we provide]

But we need to set a policy for the outside users, that their password have expiration. By default, it is set to 42 days. Usually, when you log to the PC, and want to access your desktop, and the due of your password is almost near, there would be a pop-up note that will inform you to change your password on or before due date. But how about on the web, how can we have a message that will inform the users that their password due date is almost near and need to change.

Another is, how can the user change their password from web that will effect straight from the local list of the windows server?

Thank you… 🙂
