Hi, all –
Is it possible to created a link in SharePoint to access a document stored external to SharePoint (and to the internet, for that matter)? It’s possible we could provide a location on our intranet system if that would be required.
I have seen some things online about linking between libraries but that’s about it.
Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

You could then use custom search web parts to display the particular documents you are looking for.
