Just installed SP 2013 standard on a one server farm. Many of the features seems OK. The ‘Default – 80’ web app seems to be working OK. However when I create a new web application, it doesn’t work. I get an error with a correlation ID. The error I get is ‘Sorry, something went wrong’, Name cannot begin with the ‘,’ character, hexadecimal value 0x2C. Line 15, position 34. …but yet the new app appears in the web apps list on http://appname/_admin/WebApplicationList.aspx.
Navigating to the web app just takes me to a blank page. A SharePointer suggested that it has something to do with permission of the account I created the web app with. I created the web app with the Farm Account which should be fine.
I’ve checked the correlation ID linked to the error in the Logs which doesn’t really make sense. I did notice in the log file an entry stating [Forced due to logging gap,…].
Does anyone know what the issue is?
