I was looking for a way to build a quiz in sharepoint and I found a sample solution from Office developer Center (https://code.msdn.microsoft.com/office/SharePoint-2013-Test-04cc6422) that I will try to customize.
Required additional features are limit timer, result data export, assign users to a test and send them notification if they haven’t completed the test.
Do you have any suggestion about how I should implement the notification (use workflow?)
Mike … if you are interested in a 3rd party solution I can certainly recommend my companies products 😉 We made DocSurvey (which is a customized version of SP Survey that has quiz functionality built in). We also have DocRead which makes it really easy to assign the quiz (via a document) and ask that a group (SP Group, AD Group, Global Audience + individual users) take it and pass it by a certain day. If they miss the deadline, DocRead will send overdue reminders repeatedly.Â
This blog post outlines the process pretty well :Â https://www.collaboris.com/blogs/collaboris-blog/mark-jones/2013/10/07/how-to-get-user-feedback-on-a-document-stored-in-sharepoint
