Where can we customize the SharePoint starter page which shows a list of Frequently used sites and Suggested sites?
I would like to dismiss the Suggested sites and ideally only list Followed teamsites, ideally as a list instead of the color coded boxes which appear by default.

Hi Johan, unfortunately this page cannot be customized. This is an out of the box system page. If you’d want to have your own custom site listing page, you’d have to create it on your root site collection and use web parts to bring up the Followed sites, otherwise the SharePoint Home page is staying as is 🙁
