Which design pattern should be used for SharePoint farm solution? and for SharePoint App?

Thanks Mark for replying. I am going to work on new project which is in SharePoint. Project will be one HRMS solution. It can be Farm solution or an app. But little confused that in which pattern the project should be either in MVP or MVVM etc. Which one should be ideal for SharePoint? or any other suggestions ? Â and yes I am developer.Â
