Hi all

Within SharePoint Online, we’d like to give a few external clients access to a particualr site collection in SharePoint with user accounts that we create in our O365 tenancy.

I can restrict content by permissions to these individual accounts but these accounts seem to be able to conduct people searches across our organization and in-turn can see too much information.  Can i turn this search capacity off for these indvidiual accounts?.  Also, I want to stop them creating My-Sites.

Also, if these accounts only have View access to a page/site, why do they see the SharePoint “cog” icon in the top right allowing them to “share” information with others, if they have view only access, why are they getting this right.  Can I turn off access to the “cog” completely for some users, ie external collaborators?

Many thanks

Matt
