Hope everyone is well 🙂
I am trying to link project documents to a project list I have created. So each project in the list contains the relevant project data and also has the related documents from the Document library for that specific project displayed on the list page.
Both the List and the Document Library have a corresponding Managed field called “Dept Code” that could be used to link the documents, as the “Dept Code” is unique to that project.
Any thoughts?

Hmm, one way I could think of is “Document Sets”. Create your projects as Document Sets, and inside have all the documentation.

You can use your Project Webpart to filter stuff in the “Document WebPart” on the same page. Check out the links and I hope it makes sense! If no, I will show you more details when I finish with the client!

The part I am struggling to het me head round is creating a view where the filtered documents are displayed at the bottom of the Projects list. So when someone clicks on a project int he list it pulls the relevant associated documents into the view.

You can do that in the Dept Code, instead of writing the value every time, make the column as a LookUp on the Project List.
Then group them by “Dept Code”. That should work 🙂
