I am wondering what is the best way to configure the search results so that it opens all files in the client application instead of the browser.
Currently all Excel files try to open in Excel Services but in the Document Library they open in the Client Application.
Note: I have activated the Open Documents in Client Applicatons by Default feature in Central Admin.
If anyone requires further information I am happy to provide it 🙂
I found my answer! Trevor informed me that there is a “Preferences” Button at the bottom of the search results page that gives you the option to “Open Documents in Client Application”.
