I have set up a SP 2013 demo environment with a number of users in AD. In SP I mapped the “Work Email” field to “mail” and ran a full user profile synchronization. Looking at the user profiles in SP shows shows their email addresses, however when I want to add alerts SP complains that some users don’t have email addresses defined. Any thoughts?
