1st Answer
However, SharePoint Server 2010 with SP2 has now been released, and this configuration is supported in Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2. So, it’s supported to run SharePoint 2010 on Windows Server 2012, check out the KB article 2724471 and the description of SharePoint 2010 Service Pack 2.
2nd Answer
It is not necessary to install the sql server on the client machine. You can install it on any server and through proper connection string connect to it. So the options could be : On the client machine , if this is just a trial, for instance
3rd Answer
This is possibly caused by not using the slipstream installation media that contains SP2
Hi Majid,
1. Yes, but you need to be using SP2 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/2724471)
2. Yes, you’ll need a server running SQL 2008 or 2012 (http://sharepoint-community.net/profiles/blogs/step-by-step-installation-of-sharepoint-2010-on-windows-server-1) This can be the same server you’re installing SharePoint on or a separate one, depending on your architecture
3. This is possibly caused by not using the slipstream installation media that contains SP2 (see first link)
Hope this helps,
Rob
