Back Ground:

I created an excel spreadsheet connected to an O365 SharePoint list using Get Data > From Online Services > From SharePoint Online List.  Next I used Get & Transform to create a Power Query merge to create a table with only the columns I needed.  I then created a Power Pivot table and everything is working the way I wanted it to work.

Issue:

I cannot do a Refresh All when I have the Excel spreadsheet opened in Edit in Browser mode.  First I get a warning “Query and Refresh Data – Be careful The query to get the data might be unsafe so you should only refresh the workbook if you trust its source…” I say “Yes” – then it says “working on it” and then the error message “External Data Refresh Failed – An error occurred while working on the Data Model in the workbook – please try again – We were unable to refresh one of more data connections in this workbook – Query – MergeDates4Jobs”

UGH – works when I edit in Excel and click Refresh All

Did try to look for an answer on the Internet but did not find any that applied to O365 and SharePoint Online.

Thanks in advance if you have time to assist with this issue!
