Hello. I have management here wondering if it is possible, on a SharePoint 2013 site, to give a user permissions to a document library folder, while not granting them any permissions at all to the rest of the site.
Has anyone been able to get this to work?

goto manage permissions of the item , select stop inheriting permissions and grant permissions to the users only to the folder

SharePoint will automatically grant “Limited Access” on parent objects up the chain from the folder. Some things would break if you truly had zero access outside the folder like the UI (master page gallery, style library, etc.) or taxonomy (hidden taxonomy list.)
