Hi Alll,Â
I am new to SharePoint and i am loving the product. Also new to this website.Â
We are in the middle of migration of 15.000 users to the cloud.Â
14.000 students and 1000 staff. (big school)
My question is what are the users experiencing if they want to work with non-office files.Â
Lets say a Autocad, Adobe Photoshop and all other kind of files. Some of them can be verry big.Â
1. Opening them in File explorer with a link to the SP library is working fine?
2. Are a lot of open connections from users using their File Explorer with a connection to SP giving a problem?
3. What can we do to make sure that users have a good users experience when we go live with non-office files.Â
Please share your thoughts on this.Â
Thank you
Aldo
It depends on how you use the files. There is a 2GB file size limit in Office365.
If a user downloads a 2GB file from Office365 (which is possible), it will probably take a while, as it is downloading a file from the internet to your local computer.
