I have a Sharepoin 2013 portal. I found a nice masterpage on some site collection. I would like to use this masterpage on another site collection. How can I copy this masterpage and reuse it on another masterpage? The site collections are on the same web application.
I found the solution. Just download a copy. And upload it to the destination masterpage gallery. After this I need to check out and check in this masterpage file. Then it shows up in the dropdownmenu on the masterpage settings page.
Well you can download the master page and upload it on the site collection you want but you have to be careful about the resources its using like the custom CSS or JS or Images files which are referenced.. the new design manager in SHarePoint 2013 can also be help to you if you read from the HTML variant file on .master in the masterpage gallery.
