I am currently settingĀ up a SharePoint with Office Web Apps enabled.
The users should be able to edit their Excel Sheets without having to check it out.
It is possible with Co Authoring in Excel Web App but the user can’t see which cell another user is editing, so they end up overwriting each other.
I searched around a bit and Office 365 has this function enabled. Is it in any way possible to get the same result on a SharePoint 2013 on premise system?
I have tested the new OOS and i can confirm that there is real co authoring in the new Office Online Server on premise… Ā Ā
Also compatible with sharepoint 2013…Ā
Im upgrading my dev enviroment with SHP 2013 latest KB.
also installing SHP 2016 … to connect to web apps…
Office Online Server Preview is not available , It was removed I guess that version has to have this real time. Im trying to find OOS preview.
I Will let u know , if any luck.
Nothing new. I tried to search for more Information, but nothing.
Apparently SP 2013 and Web Apps are supporting this, but as said above only in Office 365.
Any news? did you get to work on shp 2013 and web apps?
