Hello,

There are many articles online about the value of MVP award, how to apply, about the benefits etc. but there is not much about what’s more important and when do you know that you qualify and should apply or when should you propose someone else to be awarded.

Any answer or comment on any of the questions below would be appreciated and helpful for many SharePoint professionals out there that share they knowledge and expertise every day with their blogs, in forums, communities etc.

-What is more valued, speaking in conferences/ local user groups, good blog, points/reputation in Microsoft or third party forums?
-Is speaking in conferences/local user groups a must? how frequently?
-Approximately, how many visits in one year make one blog to be considered as significant contribution?
-Approximately, how many points/reputation in Microsoft or third party forums is considered as significant contribution?
-Which third party forums do you think are more valued by Microsoft?
-I have the impressions that keeping the award (being reawared the next year) is easier then getting the award for the first time. do you agree?
-Is there any limit of MVP awards they give per year
-Is there any rule how they distribute the awards by region/language?
Thanks

Naim Murati
