Just interested to see how long you have been using SharePoint and which version did you start on ?
Hello all, very exciting to be here … My name is Dan and i’m from Brazil and first interaction is to say what I’m feeling about my contact with the 2013 version of Sharepoint. I’ve been working with SharePoint since 2009 and last year i was the architect and developer of a public facing website portal for a large multinational energy sector company. The result pleased me a lot and the study and learning was enormous. Now, after three and a half years I am at a new one company and the new one challenge of implementing the new 2013 version and develop new (and migrate legacy) applications to the new version . Well, so far no big news unless my great excitement I see the opportunity to provide evidence for certification in the near future.
What would you like to share (and also to hear from you guys) is about Microsoft’s strategy (for that is what it seems, and this is where I wonder if I’m wrong) this version of wanting to “push” (see right the quotation marks) for development Apps (understand the business reason, since the new version is fully internet / social facing). That was what I saw and felt until now I’ve been reading in both paid sources (I’m reading two books from Wrox, development and administration) and internet (which is true for me).Â
I do not see any problem in Apps development and client centric (very developed), on the contrary, it seems to me in fact. Ajax, is not it? What do you think? Now, I think that giving back to the good old server code easily, so I will not.
But the most important thing is to be here in this community! Thanks a lot!
