Hi guys hoping you can help answer this for me. SharePoint allows users to setup “Alert Me” emails that get sent immediately and shows the changes made. What I need to know is if there a way to make a workflow that generates the same emails but with the power of a workflow, let me know thanks.

This has been requested by lots of clients and yet the functionality just isn’t there. You can use the update list item api to capture the same elements but it’s not as pretty. I will keep looking and let me know if you find anything too.
