In one of the many chats we have on the community chat room, the discussion around MCT came up. Does anyone have details on how to obtain the certificate ? How much is it ? What’s needed ?
I’m currently a MCT on SharePoint 2010 doing the admin and the dev side. To become a MCT it is after you are already certified on (in this case) SharePoint. For 2010 their currently 4 tests which are needed to pass for both the admin side and the dev side. I have been a MCT for over 12 years, so its hard to remember how to start. But if you login as a MCP (Microsoft Certified Professionsal) you can then apply for your MCT. www.microsoft.com/MCP is the url but you have to have your login info first you get that after you pass your first test. IF you are not part of a CPLS (cerfified learning partner) you are charged a $400 app fee for submitting your app. I renew every year for $300 due to being part of a cpls.
