Is it possible to share a PowerApp with internal users and also users external to my organisation? For external, if it possible, how do I package it up and send it over?
To share a PowerApp with an internal user or group then here’s how you do it:
- Login to PowerApps
- View All your PowerApps
- Find the PowerApp you wish to share.
- Click the “…” on that PowerApp.
- Click “Share”.
Once you’ve clicked “share”, you will be presented with a screen like this :
On this screen you can either pick a user or even an entire group. You can also choose whether to notify the people via email. In my example, I’ve just shared my PowerApp with Fraser who can “edit” it. (you can also make it read-only).
If Fraser wants to use the App he could then navigate to Dynamics 365 and see access it from there.
To share a PowerApp with another user you can use “Export Package” and “Import Package”.
To export:Â
- View all your PowerApps
- Find the PowerApp you wish to export
- Click the “…”
- Choose Export
On the next screen you want to choose Export and this will create a zip file :
To import a PowerApps package simply select “import package” from the nav menu in PowerApps.
